Professorship (W2) in the Teaching and Research Area of Inclusion and Disability Studies

You represent the teaching and research area of Inclusion and Disability Studies with a focus on curative pedagogical fields of action. The teaching will be located mainly in the study course of medical education and inclusive pedagogy, and in addition in all other BA and MA courses of the university. Your (interdisciplinary) research results bring you application-related and professional, didactically versed and sensitive to diversity into teaching. Among other things, the cooperation in and the dedicated further development of the Bochum Center for Disability Studies (BODYS) will possibly be part of the profile of the professorship with management tasks. As a dedicated colleague, You are involved in university self-governing.

Theoretical, methodological and conceptual foundations of healing pedagogy and inclusive pedagogy for professional and social challenges Theory history of disability studies as well as current trends and critical developments Participative and interactive research designs Theory Practice Transfer You fulfil the conditions of employment according to § 36 of the German Higher Education Act NRW. These are, in particular, a completed relevant university study, pedagogical aptitude, the special capacity for scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by the quality of an overdue, thematically relevant doctorate, and an at least five years of professional activity, of which at least three years were carried out outside the higher education sector. You have a university degree in a pedagogical, educational, rehabilitation, educational or comparable course of study. You have practical experience in health education fields and/or are actively connected to self-representation organisations. In addition, it is desirable that you have experience in application-related research in a field of action of medical education. You are a member of a church belonging to the working group of Christian churches in Germany (ACK). You have experience in higher education and have the willingness to teach in English. You are committed to the further development of research and teaching. You have an affinity for digital and hybrid teaching offerings that complement the teaching of presence.
