Efficiently functioning IT systems ensure that the operation at Amazon is running at maximum speed at any time. Our IT Support Engineers work behind the scenes to fix problems and improve our systems so that our operation is running optimally. Your focus is to ensure that our IT infrastructure has grown the requirements of our global business. At the same time, you work with the latest technology and learn how we develop the warehouse environment of the future.

Key job responsibilities Your main tasks

• Support end user devices and IT infrastructure in your building • Help with key network projects, such as the IT facilities for new Amazon buildings • Proposals for new processes that improve the use of IT at Amazon logistics centres • Mentoring and promotion of colleagues

A day in the life Our Ops Tech Solutions Team (OTS teams) offers all Amazon operating sites worldwide running tech support. Maintenance, upgrade and protection of the IT infrastructure and end-user devices of one of the largest companies in the world require a variety of skills. Some team members are engineers who help to create and implement solutions. Others take over management roles and act as executives for our colleagues in tech support so that they can help our end users better. The Amazon's OTS team is committed to keeping performance and sustainability in balance for all new solutions. Many of our employees work at local locations. Our team is active 24/7 and ensures that we can offer support and carry out important maintenance work with the lowest possible interruptions in the business process.

QUALIFICATIONS • A degree in computer science or another technical field • Experience in the administration of heterogeneous networks with Microsoft Windows and Linux-based clients and servers • Experience with network infrastructure, system integration and work with third-party providers • Advanced English and German knowledge in word and writing • Valid driving licence PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Other industry certifications, such as ITIL, Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Microsoft (MCP, MCSE) or Linux (LPIC-1, LPIC-2) • Experience with work in a dynamic, customer-oriented environment • Experience in dealing with common network and Internet protocols, such as network management, communication and security protocols • Experience in IT Asset Management and Purchase

Maintenance, upgrade and protection of the IT infrastructure and end-user devices of one of the largest companies in the world require a variety of skills. Some team members are specialized professionals who help to create and implement solutions. Others take over leadership roles and act as executives for our tech support team so that our end users can support them as best possible.
