Sound engineer – sound tuning of sound systems in cars (m/f/d)

The aim of the group »Automotive Acoustics« is the optimal sound and thus the excellent music enjoyment for all occupants in a vehicle. We deal with the specific sound challenges in the car and develop directional solutions for the automotive industry. Our algorithms are already used in a variety of serial vehicles from various renowned vehicle manufacturers. With the help of our technologies, the vehicle interior is lifted into new sound dimensions and first-class sound is generated. The fine tuning of our algorithms takes over our experienced sound masters with their trained hearing and passion for music. Sound design: You develop sound philosophy and sound experiences for the vehicle and implement them with modern DSP algorithms. Customer agreement: You present your results convincingly with customers, evaluate their wishes, implement them in a targeted manner and thus make a significant contribution to the successful finalization of the product. Further development: You develop a thorough understanding of the algorithms used and give valuable impulses for their optimization. Teamwork: Your innovative ideas inspire an interdisciplinary, international research and project team.

Graduated academic studies as sound master, sound engineer or in the field of audio engineering Safe handling of modern digital audio equipment and audio software such as Max/MSP, Nuendo, Reaper or Audition Knowledge of complex audio signal flows, including equalizers, delays and innovative algorithms, in theory and practice Self-responsible and reliable functioning as well as the ability to keep track of changing or complex tasks and to secure priorities Experience in cooperation with various stakeholders (customers, management, DSP and hardware development) readiness for regular, multi-day missions, usually within Germany (about 30%) Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
