We are already working on drives that will secure the technology leadership of Mercedes-Benz AG in the future. In the Construction & Mechanical Diesel department we are responsible as a team “mech. Engine control diesel, software development and mandate OM654 along'' both the development, testing and securing of new engines, as well as the serial support of the 4- and 6-cylinder diesel engines from Mercedes-Benz. In our interdisciplinary team, this includes both the classic mechanics in the areas of cylinder head / control / valve drive - as well as the associated software volumes. As part of your internship, you will be able to participate in the development of the next generation of our diesel engines. The versatile activity in both classic mechanics and software environments offers you a lot of free space for design, allows you to have an extensive contact with other specialist departments and is the ideal basis for entering the automotive industry that is undergoing a great deal of change. These challenges include: Creation and testing of powertrain software and application in the vehicle Supporting the planning, parts delivery and support of engine setups Maintenance of test bench motors in continuous operation Participation in the assessment and documentation of tested components from test bench or test bench Continuous running motors Construction and operation of applications/measuring technology on test engines and their evaluation Development and design of communication documents, reports and presentations Participation and cooperation in workshops, as well as preparation and follow-up Implementation of projects The activity can begin from March 2026.

Study programme in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable study programme Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS-Office especially Excel, programming skills (e.g. Matlab/Simulink, VBA) of advantage but not absolutely necessary Commitment, Reliability, Team Skill, Independent Structures, Communication Skill Analytical thinking and strategic working driving licence class B Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share.
