Number: MER0003U3 Start by in the Team Materials & Components for Future Powertrain at Mercedes-Benz! Are you ready to revolutionize the future of electric motors? In this mandatory internship, you immerse yourself in the world of rare earth magnets and work on the coolest hybrid and electric vehicles as well as on innovative technology projects that the world sees only in a few years! Your mission: After a brief introduction, you will become a magnet professional and perform material characterizations. You crack the codes of magnetic characteristics and losses that are crucial for the development of efficient electric drives. Your results are presented in the form of illustrative charts and crisp short reports. And if you have Bock, you can present your insights in the team. Interest in practical work is basic prerequisite, experience or knowledge with permanent magnets are not absolutely necessary. With us you will experience a cooperative and value-adding working environment where teamwork is raised. You have the freedom to introduce your ideas and are accompanied by a supporting team. Plus: At the beginning of your internship you will get valuable tips and tricks from previous students and can pass them on at the end of the internship. The activity may begin from March or April 2026.

Course: You are on the move in a cool area that includes electromobility, vehicle technology, material science, material engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or physical chemistry

Language skills: You are a language professional and can express yourself in English and German

IT-Skills: You are fit in dealing with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook – the basics you have

Personal Skills: You are a real team player, reliable and have a hand for technical applications in the laboratory. Your interest in electromobility drives you to shape the future
