With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans. Our team is responsible for the engine of 4- and 6-cylinder petrol engines in the field of basic engine development. This comprises the rotating and oscillating components of the engine with their functionally adjacent components, i.e. essentially the crankcase and the crankshaft with their bearings, the connecting rods, the pistons and the driving disk, the torsional vibration damper and the radial shaft sealing rings. Our areas of responsibility include mechanical protection through internal and out-of-motor tests on engine components and motor systems. These challenges include: You are firmly involved in our development work This includes the entire process from the redesign of engine components to serial support

You have an insight into the planning, implementation and evaluation of tests in the vehicle and on components and full engine test benches Supporting the planning, parts delivery and support of engine setups Support for engine results Support/implementation of measurements at the test bench and in the vehicle Documentation of results Support for specialists on specific topics The activity can begin from February 2026.

Study programme in the field of mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering or comparable study programme Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working Car spirit Practical experience in vehicle and motor technology of advantage Car guide ticket Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share.
