Number: MER0003URG Procurement and Supplier Quality Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans - Powertrain is responsible for the module purchase and supplier quality of all powertrain components and for the project management for new Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans engine and transmission projects. In particular, the change to electromobility presents numerous and exciting challenges. You work operatively in the team and gain experience in the entire procurement process as well as in the creation of purchases and orders while complying with the relevant MBAG guidelines and processes for procurement. Participation in international supplier appointments and negotiations is just as important as the creation and presentation of briefing and decision documents in the module teams and decision bodies. These challenges include:
Procurement market analyses and benchmark activities
Developing and implementing global procurement and transformation strategies
Market requests and negotiations with suppliers according to the procurement processes
Preparation of offer comparisons and preparation of decision templates
Preparation, implementation and evaluation of international supplier appointments, including negotiations and workshops (including on-site suppliers)
Working with current projects, controlling change management and tracking contract management
Support in the coordination of purchasing with adjacent departments (strategy, development, quality, logistics, production) and with suppliers
