Number: MER0003T87 At Mercedes-Benz Car's research and development, we design the automotive generations of the future. We are already working on vehicles that will secure the technology leadership of Mercedes-Benz in the future and vehicle safety is an essential brand core value. In the area of passive safety pedestrian protection, we are responsible for the development of the function pedestrian protection. Your future team evaluates design models with regard to pedestrian protection requirements, develops them further by means of CAE simulations and secures the results for the entire field in hardware tests. Our goal is to secure compliance with the laws of the world, to achieve high rating requirements and to comply with Mercedes-Benz specific requirements for all cars. These fields of application include: Processing of technical and organisational tasks in the team

Preparation of documentation and presentation documents

Support for basic investigations in the field of CAE simulation

Implementation of benchmark analyses

Organisation of development vehicles and their conversion and retrofitting to carry out test series

Spare parts management including procurement of parts and organization of transports

Preparation, monitoring and evaluation of internal and external experiments

The internship can start from March 2025 or after consultation.

Study programme in the field of mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering or a comparable study programme

Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing

Safe handling of MS Office

CAE knowledge desirable

Joy in dealing with people, communication skills

Commitment and team skills

Analytical thinking and strategic working

driving licence class B
