The Ludwig-van-Beethoven-Musikschule der UNO- und Beethovenstadt Bonn, in which around 347,000 people live, is oriented according to the structure plan of the Association of German Music Schools and currently offers lessons for about 5000 children, young people and adults, which are taught by about 170 teachers. Particular emphasis is placed on the conceptual further development of the range of music schools for the most diverse population groups, the further development of cooperation with the children's day centres, open day schools and the implementation of the JeKits national programme at the Bonn primary schools. The Ludwig van Beethoven Music School is a department of the Cultural Office.

The task field includes:

• Granting of teaching in the subjects of elementary music education (parent-child courses, early musical education, basic musical education, etc.)
• Granting of teaching within the framework of the NRW Education Programme JeKits and teaching in the context of cooperation with schools or daycare centres
• Conduct and design of teaching in the sense of a living basic stage
• Planning and implementation of pupils and participation in music school projects and music school concerts
• Participation in conferences and cooperation in the field of elementary music practice
• technical advice of students and parents
• teaching in an instrumental or vowel subject with appropriate skills

Preparation:

• a qualified degree in a music degree (Diplom / Bachelor) at a music college in the study course Elementary Music Education or equivalent degree

Expected:

• Teaching experience in the subjects of elementary music education
• Teaching experience related to cooperation partners
• multi-year teaching experience, preferably at a member school of the Association of German Music Schools (VdM)
• if necessary the willingness to participate in the EMP course of the Landesmusikakademie or a comparable course
• Experience for the use of digital media in music lessons
• Skill and joy in dealing with children
• a methodological and didactically sounded, imaginative and motivating teaching
• openness to new target groups (musical work with adults or people with disabilities), educational formats and music styles
• safe and friendly appearance in communication with students, parents, college and cooperation partners
• to inform time flexibility and readiness in various branches
• Willingness to participate in Elementary Music Practice
• willingness to participate regularly in conferences, meetings, performances, concerts etc. in the context of the related activities
• Reliability, team skills and a friendly and safe occurrence

The advantage is: 

• Qualification for teaching in a small scale instrumental or vowel
• practical experience in music education work with people with disabilities
• Participation in the accompanying course Instrumental play for people with disabilities in music schools (Blimbam)
