IT System Administrator Infrastructure (m/f/d)

In this position, you are part of a central infrastructure operating team and guarantee the sustainable operation of an internationally distributed IT landscape. Do you like to work as a generalist in the Windows and Linux environment and want to contribute your technical expertise to the development of highly available infrastructures and actively contribute to the standardization and further development of our IT services? Your tasks at a glance: You are responsible for the planning, operation and continuous development of a high-availability, secure and scalable IT infrastructure in the areas of servers, storage, virtualization, backup, monitoring and network-related services. In daily business, run and manage Windows and Linux servers within a distributed, international infrastructure and ensure a stable and standard operation. In addition, plan, implement and operate IT infrastructures according to recognised best practices and standards (e.g. ITIL, BSI IT basic protection) and support automation, documentation and troubleshooting. As part of the infrastructure team, you contribute to the further development of operating processes and ensure compliance with defined IT standards.

Complete vocational training as a specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience (2-5 years) in operation and administration of IT infrastructures Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments and virtualization and infrastructure technologies (e.g. VMware, Citrix, Heading) Experience with server and storage hardware, ideally from manufacturers such as HPE, Dell or Pure Storage Good knowledge of key basic services, such as Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, as well as knowledge of German and English Organisational strength, time management and curiosity and openness for new technologies Standing for occasional international missions (about 5%)
