Veterinarian and animal welfare officer (m/f/d)

Carrying out veterinary tasks for the health of the livestock and for pre-clinical examinations on the safety of medicinal products (including participation in the veterinary care service) The long-term qualification and incorporation into the animal welfare tasks of the site with the perspective takeover of an animal welfare agency to strengthen our animal welfare team Monitoring compliance with rules, conditions and conditions in the interests of animal welfare promoting the development and introduction of methods and means to avoid or restrict animal testing Introduction of scientific or practical expertise in the fields of animal health, biology, physiology and methodology as part of the examinations on drug safety Participation in scientific events – both internal and external lectures Takeover of project tasks in the Animal Welfare & Veterinary Services department and in project teams Contact with customers, both during the planning phase and during the studies Communication and close cooperation with Veterinary and Technical Employees, Veterinary Careers and Experimental Advice Consistent cooperation in animal testing applications and medical assistance in communication with authorities Communication with supervisory and approval authorities (Veterinary Office of the City of Münster and LANUV) Active support of animal welfare at the site by consulting employees and cooperation in animal welfare bodies or initiatives (e.g. our Culture of Care Team)

Minimum requirements: Complete studies of veterinary medicine with German approval

Required qualifications: Qualification as an animal welfare officer:r of advantage Some years of professional experience in curative veterinary practice or experimental experience Experience in the implementation of regulatory studies Experience in preclinical research

Additional requirements: Very good communication skills, both verbal and reliable, and in writing are essential Good English knowledge of word and writing desirable
