The Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Operational Intensive Medicine carries approx. 38,000 Narcoses in all areas of surgical and interventional medicine and annually supervises more than 5,000 patients in 6 intensive care stations with more than 80 respiratory beds. The clinic also ensures emergency medical care at 5 locations in Bonn and the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis. The 2026 newly opened heart centre of the UKB is one of the largest and most innovative clinics of this kind in Europe. With the accompanying expansion of our range of services, in particular in the fields of cardioan anesthesia and cardiosurgical intensive care, several positions in full time (40.0 hours / week) or part-time (by agreement) are to be taken at the Clinic for Anesthesiology and Operative Intensive Medicine of the University Hospital Bonn at the next possible time: Senior Consultant (m/w/d) The posts are limited to two years.

Anesthesiological care of patients throughout the spectrum of a maximum provider including heart surgery and interventional cardiology Cooperation in the operational intensive care stations with modern equipment and support methods (including ECMO, LVAD) Use of innovative anaesthesiological methods, including ultrasound, transösophageal echocardiography (TEE) and modern haemodynamic monitoring methods Use as a doctor (optional) Participation in student teaching and clinical research
