Embedded Software Engineer – Information, Measurement and Control Technology (m/f/d)

In the course of our strong growth, we are looking for an embedded software engineer (w/m/d) for technical software development with a focus on information, measurement and control technology to strengthen our successful development team in Bremen.

You are responsible for the new and further development of embedded real-time firmware for our DSP, MCU, ARM and SoM-based boards and Bare Metal, RTOS and Linux/Windows-based systems. Ownly responsible, you undertake software projects within product development and coordinate interdisciplinary cooperation with the other departments. You will accompany the entire process in the project cycle: planning (e.g. through requirements, feasibility analyses and architecture planning), implementation, error analysis and troubleshooting, prototype testing and finally the professional documentation. You always follow the predefined development process, code guidelines and quality requirements and perform code reviews in this sense and develop best practice approaches. With great interest in your area, you research and implement new technologies and techniques to improve existing systems.

You have a completed study in the field of electrical engineering, technical informatics, etc. or a suitable training. We are looking forward to first experience as a software developer / development engineer (w/m/d) – ambitious graduates (w/m/d) are also welcome with the software development embedded systems. However, professional or project experience in the industrial environment in development with C / C++ should be present – you are already familiar with agile development methods. Ideally, you are already experienced in request management, architectural planning, project and code documentation. We rely on your know-how in handling tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git, Jira and Confluence, as well as your knowledge in the C and C++ programming languages, ideally also in RTOS and Embedded Linux. You like to work independently, but also in the team and are looking forward to thinking about ideas with colleagues in research and development. In the project environment you score with targeted and solution-oriented communication as well as good knowledge of German and English in word and writing.
