Number: MER0003U5Y The Mercedes-Benz Cars Purchasing & Supplier Quality (MP) division is responsible not only for the purchase of production materials with an annual purchase volume in the double-digit billion range, but also for the quality and availability of the corresponding parts. In supplier capacity management, we are responsible for the overall safeguarding of the delivery capacities in new-type, model care and series projects. These challenges include: Guaranteeing delivery capacities: In your internship, you will experience how the supply chain is prepared for the requirements of series production in terms of delivery capacities before the start of the series - we are working internally with the areas of planning, development, quality management and factory logistics as well as externally with more than 2,000 suppliers worldwide - the goal is to ensure the delivery of all purchased components

To secure delivery capacities, you can support the project management team in creating supplier information packages as well as the processing of capacity queries from suppliers – documentation of the returned delivery capacities and the execution of telephone actions to collect, if necessary. Missing supplier feedback is part of your tasks as well as identifying possible supply risks

Reporting: As a central contact for supplier capacities, regular reporting regarding prevention and risks is also one of the tasks of the project management team

You will create the weekly range report of all Mercedes-Benz Cars production plants for the top management (reporting of the department) as well as regular preparation of the internal reporting system for the project bodies incl. Preparation and design of presentations in German and English for the management circle independently responsible

Regular updating and support in the development and optimization of the department-internal dashboard with Power BI is also part of your tasks

Overarching: The weekly project meeting will be prepared and logged by you in consultation with the manager - in addition, you will support the preparation and implementation of workshops and make a major contribution to additional projects and special tasks in addition to the day-to-day business.
