Our unit suspension systems (VAN/EKF) is responsible for the development and series support of axles, steering, suspension and damping, the driving dynamics and brake control systems, the wheels and tires as well as the service and parking brake system for all VAN series. The team operating and parking brake systems, focuses on the development, design and design as well as the testing and release of all brake components, which are necessary in the overall system for an efficient brake system. With our strategic objective of emission neutrality of our vehicles, our area of responsibility is expanded by incorporating the recuperation into the design and reduction of the fine dust emission of the brake. In this context, we are looking for an motivated development engineer focusing on measurement and data analysis fine dust emissions brake as well as component responsibility brake disc.

These challenges come to you: Measurement and data analysis Fine dust emissions brake Determining the recuperative braking components in the vehicle on the roller test stand and in road measurements in the WLTP Brake (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure) and developing optimization strategies

Creation of instructions regarding measuring equipment and measuring performances in the vehicle for workshop and suppliers

Maintenance of brake emission measurements PM10 (particulate matter) at the component test bench

Maintenance of the emission database and creation of automated evaluation

BTV brake discs VAN filling the BTV roller (component controller*r) brake discs VAN with the creation of load pads and DVP ́s (Digital Vehicle Products),

performing and coordinating all necessary development steps and content from the concept phase to customer release,

Implementation and coordination of thermal brake disc design and testing, implementation and control of change management

Overarching tasks Plans (budget and capacity), organizing, controlling and monitoring of the responsible sizes

Compliance with deadline, quality and cost targets

Creating results presentations and assigning the scope of responsibility in the respective bodies

Creating approval recommendations and documentation of customer release volumes according to the requirements for SCE (Safety, Regulatory Conformity, Emissions)

Flexibility in support of the team in all areas of brake development

Ideally qualify for this job: Completed university degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, mechatronics or comparable

Good knowledge of vehicle technology, deepened knowledge and professional experience in the development and testing of vehicle brakes Focus on fine dust emissions Brake and recuperation measurement according to WLTP-Brake

knowledge of the thermal design of brake discs, basic knowledge of the construction of components

Good knowledge of statistical experimental planning, measurement evaluation and project management

German and English skills

International readiness

Driving licence class BE, class C1E and Mercedes-Benz internal driving authorization T2 desirable
