Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

As part of our three-headed DevOps team, you work closely with around 25 colleagues from product development, distributed to four product-oriented mission teams. Together, it operates and develops a platform with which our product teams deliver modern web applications reliably, safely and effectively. Your focus is on stable infrastructure, efficient CI/CD processes, automation and a good developer experience. You support our developers: in the continuous integration and delivery of our products, by automated provision of infrastructure, management of permissions, high performance CI/CD pipelines and deployment setup. You take over the planning, implementation and support of our server and cluster infrastructure. You establish and monitor processes for proactive care and updating third-party components. You make sure our infrastructure is reliably recoverable. Develop and document scalable backup and restore strategies and validate them regularly by testing and automation. You develop and improve business continuity and disaster recovery strategies for our critical platforms and services. You implement compliance requirements regarding data retention and deletion, encryption and secret management.

You bring relevant professional experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer:in with you and you are at heart failure security, performance and security of web applications. Current knowledge of German in Word and Scripture (min. C1). You have secure knowledge in the administration of servers and Kubernetes clusters. You have good knowledge of cloud and system architectures. You have experience in the containerization of applications in various programming languages and frameworks, with us: Rails and Next.js. You have experience in the definition of CI/CD pipelines. You have a good understanding of observability, logging, monitoring, alerting methods for operating web applications. Our work requires an intensive exchange with your colleagues. Therefore, you should be communicative and a team player. We work a lot about pairing – whether remote or in the office. You should feel comfortable working with other people at the same time and explaining results.
