Your daily tasks as a high-bay driver

• Disposal and removal: Proper storage of goods in high-bay racks (often up to 10 meters or higher) and their outsourcing for shipping.
• rearrangement: rearrangement of pallets in the warehouse to provide space or goods.
• Commissioning: compiling orders from the high shelf, often supported by hand scanners or speech systems.
• Loading and unloading: unloading of trucks when picking up goods and loading trucks for shipping.
• securing the load: Responsibility for correct securing the goods on the pallet to avoid damage.
• Control of goods Documentation: Checking the delivered goods for completeness and quality as well as scanning the goods by hand scanners (control of the inventory system).
• Maintenance of the forklift truck: Daily check of the operability of the thrust truck or high-bay truck (e.g. battery care, hydraulics).

You'll take this as a high-bay truck driver

• Experience in the high-bay: knowledge in the handling of push-mast-apers or special high-bay-capsules are usually a must.
• Height suitability: Since high-bay lifts often work at altitudes of over 10 meters, freedom of dizziness is required.
• Spatial imagination: precision when storing in and out of the high shelf.
