Our VAN/EAE (VAN Electric Architecture) department is characterized by the innovative implementation of thermal management and exterior design such as bumpers, radiator grilles, attachments and black parts. One of the most important innovations in the field of exterior design is the integration of lighting technology into the components. Thanks to the digital character, new accents can be set that emphasize the exclusivity of our future vehicle generations. Our team currently consists of 14 highly motivated and friendly employees in Stuttgart and 17 employees at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India (Pune), who are looking forward to your support

We coordinate the development activities conformation in close coordination with the cross-functional specialist departments, pre-cost planning, production, quality, purchasing and strategic project management

These challenges come to you: You take over a subproject management and coordination of development activities Exterior components front & front panel (Base & Exclusive) in the project VAN.EA-P and VAN.EA-P – Super Luxury

You ensure optimal integration of the development processes, transparency over development progress, ensure the flow of information and make the necessary decisions for your scope of tasks

You develop the definition and technical description of the measures to be implemented with the RD/VAN departments (Research & Development) and ensure their implementation

You prepare project and technology meetings and carry them through

You agree on detailed schedules with the appointment team and the component managers as well as the works. A special focus is also on the international start-up processes at our locations abroad

You monitor the degree of development on the basis of the master schedule and the associated QGs (quality calls), control the tracking of the parts releases on the basis of ZEUS, ACM, dialogue and START evaluations and ensure the component releases as part of the total vehicle and sales release

You ensure fault-free documentation and timely control of all follow-up processes (serial tool start, parts availability, timely sampling) and conduct appropriate measures in case of deviations

You accompany the hardware build-up phases in the start-up factory, are the interface in the area projects of the MO (Mercedes-Benz Cars Operations), accompany the production tests in the target plant and coordinate adjustment measures in the event of problems occurring

You accompany/response the homologation-relevant execution/sic production of pendulum impact tests UN-R42

You're evaluating certification requirements for serial start-up and developing action options for the vehicle project

Coordination of development within RD/VAN research & development Mercedes-Benz AG, production plants and suppliers

Ideally qualify for this job: Complete university degree in the field

Mechanical engineering/electronics/electronics, mechatronics or process engineering

Indentation direction Vehicle or plastic technology, conclusion as

Economic engineer*in or comparable training

German and English skills

Multiannual experience in new product projects about the product development process, project management and control of changes in vehicle projects

Experience in plastic injection moulding technology

Experience in Mercedes-Benz Engineering client Smaragd & Siemens-NX
