Number: MER0003UW9 The location is located in the development of passenger car train for Mercedes-Benz Cars. Our department is responsible for the application of the hybridised petrol engines of the Mercedes-Benz and AMG brand worldwide. The team is part of the Department of Combustion/Abgas/OBD Otto engines. We are responsible for the majority of the functions within the engine control. Different hybridized engine projects are applied here for fulfilling the global exhaust and OBD regulations. This goes from concept and functional development to the application of the different variants to certification and subsequent serial support. In our team we mainly deal with diagnosis of: catalyst Ottoparticle filter Lambdasons Displacer Further exhaust-related functions and systems If you want to support us with these tasks, apply for a mandatory internship with us. We offer: Insights into the daily work of a development engineer Cooperation with future electrified internal combustion engines Insights into the worldwide different exhaust and OBD regulations e.g. Euro 7 Your tasks: Developing a detailed concept based on the existing basic concept for the OBD tool tuning detailed tool concepts with developers and other stakeholders to ensure that all needs are taken into account Specification of the functionality and interfaces of the tool Integration and automation of the tool on a server Evaluation of measurement series Communication with test stands and workshop The activity can start from January 2026.

Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Regulatory Engineering, Mathematics, Vehicle Technology or a comparable degree course Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office Commitment and team skills Analytical thinking and strategic working Affinity for software development (Python), data analysis and problem solution in the context of automotive development Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share.
