-WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT-
Our Unit Business Management for Chemical Market Catalysts is actively seeking a Technology Manager specializing in Sustainable Feedstocks.
· You proactively engage with project and plant owners, licensors and EPCs to provide technology support, including technical consulting and technical design proposals to grow our catalyst and adsorbents business for sustainable feedstocks with an emphasis on biofuels. · Additionally, you build an opportunity pipeline in close collaboration with Sales and Marketing by effectively delivering the value proposition of our high-performance portfolio offerings. · You understand customer and market needs while identifying the optimal product or technology solution. · In this role, you provide market and customer-driven ideas and projects for incremental innovations. · You support technology design tool development by utilizing a wide scope of data from R&D, pilot facilities, and commercial plants. · Furthermore, you attend and present at conferences, seminars, and licensor forums to aid in business development and contribute to market and competitive intelligence. · Finally, you interface with other business divisions within BASF as needed to provide comprehensive solutions to customers.
-WHAT YOU OFFER-
· master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field · several years of technical experience in refining or petrochemical industries, i.e. hydro processing or related technologies as well as knowledge in biofuels is preferred · professional background in a technical sales/customer facing role · skills in process engineering or process design incl. preparing technical proposals using simulation tools (e.g. Aspen HYSYS) · familiarity with technology licensing is preferred · strong analytical skill as well as professional writing and verbal communication skills in English · experience in working as part of a global team and knowledge in adsorption or catalysis is an asset · travel requirement of at least 30%
